Silk painting yields beautiful results even for those inexperienced in any kind of painting or drawing. No previous art experience is needed. Use water-based French dyes, water-based resists, and chemical dyesetting (no steaming). Assorted geometric designs, as well as designs from nature are provided. Learn about fabrics, dyes, and resists, and discover some special effects.

Create an Original Handmade Silk Painting (for Mounting) — February 27 (Monday) and March 6 (Monday) 2pm – 4pm, $85, all materials included. Silk Painters Creative Circle — on-going, Mondays 4:00-6:00pm, $20. Bring your projects and materials, and enjoy the company of others. This meeting is not a class but simply an opportunity to share the energy and inspiration of a circle of silk artists. If you have taken one of my classes or are already a silk painter, you are welcome to join us with your own materials, or I can supply silk and other supplies for a reasonable fee.
